On Wednesday, February 3 2016, the Marketing-Finance Research Lab hosted New Year Drinks for all current and incoming Marketing-Finance Students. The event was a great success, with many students interacting with the professors and colleague students from their current cohort and previous ones.
The GSBE Marketing-Finance Symposium of 2015 took place on Thursday, October 8. The day was a great success, with participants from academic, business, and policy-making debating with a distinguished line-up of speakers.

Charles Payne, investment director at Fidelity Worldwide Investment, gave a very inspiring guest lecture on Monday, February 9, 2015. Topic was behavioral finance in practice. On October 11, the Marketing-Finance Research Lab hosted a booth on the Master Open Day to inform prospective students about the MSc IB-Marketing-Finance. The day was a big success, with over 75 people attending the information talk by Dr. Arvid Hoffmann.
To open the academic year, there will be free drinks with snacks after the opening lecture of shareholder value and market-based assets! The drinks will take place in Ad Fundum (lower level of TS53 near entrance) from 11.30-12.30 on Tuesday, September 2. During the drinks, you can meet old and new Marketing-Finance students and the professors teaching in our program.

On October 3, academic researchers as well as students from marketing and finance from the US, Europe, and the Netherlands met captains of industry and firm managers at the second GSBE Marketing-Finance Symposium at Maastricht University. At the symposium, these parties discussed recent developments and future challenges regarding the marketing-finance interface. Speakers included Frank Klein from Deutsche Bank, Friedrich Paprotka from Procter and Gamble, Jeffry Kuijpers from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Christine Moorman from Duke University, Peter Verhoef from the University of Groningen, and Jaakko Aspara from Aalto University. On December 11, 2012, the Marketing-Finance Research Lab had its annual X-Mas drinks with students and faculty. On this occasion, the Excellent Student Award was also given to Cornelia Birnbrich for her thesis, excellent grades, and an exceptional work ethic.
